How does a door opening work?

Door that just closed behind you

If the door is not locked with the key, only the latch holds it. It usually opens without damaging the lock. Everything is explained on our locked out page.

Door locked with the key

A door locked with a security cylinder takes more work. Depending on the model, the cylinder may have to be drilled or extracted. In that case, we replace it so you can lock your home again the same evening.

Lost or stolen keys

If your keys were stolen with your ID, someone may know your address. Have the cylinder changed: see lock replacement.

We check that it is your home

Before opening, we ask for ID or a document proving your address (lease, utility bill, official letter). It protects you and your neighbours.

How much does a door opening cost in Brussels?

It depends on the time of day, the type of door and the lock. We give you an estimate on the phone and a quote on site, before any work. You pay nothing until you agree to the price.

Can you open the door without damaging it?

When the door just closed behind you, it usually can. For a door locked with a security cylinder, the cylinder sometimes has to be sacrificed, and we replace it straight away. The door itself is not damaged.

Do you work at night and at weekends?

Yes, 24/7, public holidays included.

Which documents do I need to show?

ID showing your address, or a document that proves it: lease, utility bill, official letter. If your papers are inside, we check them right after opening.
